Thanksgiving Memories

Can you believe half of December is nearly gone? It seemed like just yesterday it was Thanksgiving. That was a wonderful holiday weekend filled with friends and family and--yes--lots of food. But that was already weeks ago.

Jake looked a little grumpy when we all sat down to eat, maybe it was being woken up to eat an early dinner or maybe it was driving up to the zoo - at the break of dawn to pick us up from the turkey trot that morning - when we'd already hopped on MAX and headed home. Oops! Poor communication on my part.

My husband said when he was younger, his grandmother and mom kept moving Thanksgiving dinner up and up and up. One morning, they woke him up at 10 a.m. to have dinner. They were just overeager, I think!

Great picture! And I love the grumpy look. Every holiday picture has to have one. It's tradition!

Funny about this post, though, because just yesterday I was thinking how it seemed like Halloween was just here. Time sure does fly!

Great family pic! Like Rena said, you'll always remember why Jake was grumpy now!

Stephanie: We weren't that bad. 10 - overeager for sure. We were eating at 2.

It's just that our run was super early in the morning and he went back to bed. When we woke him up - he wasn't a happy camper.

Kelly: I'd love to see the pouty face :) kids and the holidays - always unforgettable.
