I thought I knew this one, but what I thought it was had nothing to do with children...so I will keep that thought to myself and say, "I agree with everyone else"...grin...
ditto to the consensus, but i feel it's always used dramatically...it's never like, "Hey dude, come meet my progeny - here's Kim, and..." it's always used in this uber dramatic "fruit of my loins" kind of way
My daughter says it's "like a follower of God, or something like that... isn't it?" I am glad that you came to visit. And I really like your hair now. Rhonda

Progeny are children. Specifically the children of the person being talked about.
