When I was young I had a dream . . . or really it was more of a nightmare. And I had the same dream more than once.
I'd fall asleep and, in my dream, my family would gather around me and take off their masks. They'd finally reveal who they really were, which was usually an alien or a monster. I make it sound like my family was horrible-they weren't. I don't know what that dream meant but it was scary.
But what's REALLY strange about that dream and how frightened I was of masks, now-after I've grown up, my family is very "into" masks. We have them hanging all around the house.
Jake did this tiger when he was in middle school,
Luke did the anime-guy, 
and Kara did Mickey.

I get really claustrophobic in masks - I remember having a near breakdown in jr high drama.
As for what's on the walls? I have some Vietnamese eggshell artwork and a few Chinese paintbrush nudes!
I remember your mask post a while back! What do I have on my walls? Mainly Asian paintings. Lots of Chinese brush art, Korean countrysides, and the cityscape of Hong Kong.

I like that anime-guy. In this room where the computer is, I have a counted cross stitch piece made by an old family friend for my father which says..."I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."

We have a "gallery" of our children's art in the foyer and going up the stairs.
Beyond that, we have a lot of family photos, as well as art we've collected over the years. Nothing fancy, just stuff that speaks to us in some way.
Great masks! My walls have mostly family photographs on it (and some paintings). They also have lots of scuff marks due to three children growing up here! (We hope to paint this summer!)
I had a Venetian carnival mask hanging on my wall for a long time. Sadly, I did not get it in Venice during Carnival. That would have been way too cool. No, I won it for selling the most desserts one day while working at the Olive Garden. It really was from Venice, though. Still have it.
Neat! My kids made masks in school too. One is hanging smack in the middle of a huge wall - where my son put it.
I'm a fan of the lavish Mardi Gras masks--with sequins and feathers. Inner diva?

I have an Italian mask in the shape of a cresent moon on my wall. It's one of my favorite pieces of art.
I love your kid's masks, especially the tiger one. That would go well in my bedroom with all my tiger stuff. I have a mixture of stuff on my walls, from photographs to paintings, but no specific theme (except in my bedroom and bathroom). Fun post!
