Traveling for the holidays? A friend sent me this video with a little warning
A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines.
United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight.
Dave spent over 9 months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his custom Taylor guitar.
During his final exchange with the United Customer Relations Manager, he stated that he was left with no choice other than to create a music video for youtube exposing their lack of cooperation.
The Manager responded : "Good luck with that one, pal".
So he posted a retaliatory video on youtube.
The video has since received over 5.5 million hits.
United Airlines contacted the musician and attempted settlement in exchange for pulling the video.
Naturally his response was: "Good luck with that one, pal" .
Taylor Guitars sent the musician 2 new custom guitars in appreciation for the product recognition from the video that has lead to a sharp increase in orders .

What a great video! I hope he's successful in getting his claim resolved.
A few years ago, a friend of ours got into a dispute with a major hardware store chain over an incomplete project. He had contracted with the local branch of the hardware store to purchase and install kitchen counters and the store 1) did shoddy work and 2) never completed the job. So our friend put together a similar music video, which was viewed far and wide. It didn't take too long for the national corporate office to contact him and offer restitution.
OK, I'll stay home for Thanksgiving...
It is very interesting for me to read the article. Thank author for it. I like such themes and anything that is connected to them. I definitely want to read a bit more on that blog soon.
I love that story! And I'm so glad I don't have to fly over the holidays.
I love Dave's video. He has a fascinating story. He's on Facebook too.
I applaud his sense of humor on this! Good for him! And I loath air travel, so thank goodness I have other options!
