It's Officially Black Friday

Today is officially Black Friday. The Day after Thanksgiving is always the biggest shopping day of the year. And my daughter and I will be out in the throng. We will definitely be buying books and a few other things.

But yesterday was Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for. I had all my kids home with me and we had a wonderful day.

First my husband and I got up early and took the dogs for a walk. Then we came home and did some meal prep. After that, Jake, Luke, Kara, MacKenzie, Lars and I all went to the movies. The Boys watched Quantum of Solace, which is the 22nd James Bond film. We, girls, went and watched Twilight. It was the second time for me. But I sure enjoyed it.

We came home and had a wonderful dinner together and my brother, Steve, stopped by for a bit. A very nice evening, a very nice holiday. So much to be thankful for. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday too.

Kim -- I'm so glad you got to spend Thanksgiving with your family. It looked like you all had a great dinner and fun day. Thanks for sharing.

I decided to avoid going shopping today and fighting with the crowds. It's just not fun for me. Two years ago I went out during the evening of Black Friday and still found some good deals.

Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving, Kim. We had a wonderful quiet meal with our daughter & her family and spent the afternoon napping. Ahhhhh!

No Black Friday hassle for me. I spent Friday enjoying the grandchildren while their mom fought the crowds.

Thank you, God, for so many wonderful blessings.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! Sounds (and looks) like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you found lots of things on sale on Black Friday...

I did my Black Friday shopping online, but really didn't find the deals like years past, so I'm going to end up being one of those last minute shoppers this year hoping to find better sales...
