Palm Springs, The Parabas Open and The Joshua Tree National Park

If you love tennis, sunshine, and hiking, this trip is for you! We went to see the pros play the court game of tennis and stayed to check out the celebrity city of Palm Springs. We saw it all from famous icons of Marilyn to stars on the walkway of Ginger Rogers, Bob Hope and Phyllis Diller. 

Then we went up to the mountain to hike around the Joshua Tree National Park, where we saw geckos, strange rock formations and interesting vegetation, including the endangered Joshua Tree (which I think looks a lot like the hybrid of a cactus and a tree).

                                   

We even found another statue of Marilyn and then found a Pioneertown where we had lunch at the Red Dog Saloon.

 

It was a fun trip and we saw some fantastic tennis.
