Vlogmas Day 4 - Danish Origami

This is a video with complete instructions that walk you through how to make the Danish Christmas Stars, which are like a form of Danish Origami. This is a fun paper craft, that once you master the folds, will stick with you for years to come.

Children will love this craft too. And feel free to make this your family tradition that you can pass down through the generations.

If you are interested, simply click on this link of Danish Christmas Stars. And, if you do try to make them, let us know how it goes.

Vlogmas Day 10 - Danish Christmas Stars

This is a tradition we've done at Christmas for decades. Lars used to make these Danish Christmas Stars out of paper when he was a kid back in Denmark. Today, it is fun to make them out of fancy metallic ribbons but sometimes we still make them out of paper.

If you're curious to see how we make these fun stars to hang on our tree and to decorate Christmas packages, then click on the link and watch the short video below. And, if you do make some of these Danish Christmas Stars, please let me know in the comments below. I'd love to hear what you think of this project and the product you come up with.

Christmas Advent Calendars - An Age Old Tradition

In the United States, we've seen advent calendars before but these aren't your typical American Advent Calendars. These are European Advent Calendars or Danish Designs to be exact.

My Mother-in-Law started me  out on this tradition many years ago and it's one of the things I appreciate the most about her. She brought a wonderful holiday tradition into our house and we still practice it about 40 years later.

These are cross-stitched, sewed, or even appliqued designs she perfected as presents for each of us. The kids grew up loving this tradition and they still open the presents every morning during the 24 days of Christmas.

If you'd like to hear more about this Scandinavian tradition, just click on my Youtube Link and read - or watch - all about it :D

And, if you have an Advent Calendar, share your comments in the box below. I'd love to hear how you celebrate Christmas.
