WORD FOR WEDNESDAY

WORD: ASSUAGE

Okay take a guess, what's it mean? And just to let you know, it's not a typo and just missing the (m)assage, with a random (u). :p

Come back around 3:00 to see if you were close.

I can only think of pacify or to ease, but who knows really?

I was thinking of something along Robert's definition, but to smooth over came to mind...

Great guesses guys - keep it up.

I'm going with Robert's definition--it's a word I see often in "literary fiction" and I admit to BSing my way through it as I do with other words like "acquiesce" and "gibbous".

Huh. I took it to mean to pacify, too. Or maybe to lessen?

Doesn't it mean something along the lines of "lessen?"

U guys are all wizards of words - I swear - I look at some of these and go - I dunno - but not you. I must be living in a cave - these words seem tough to me.

I'll work harder next week - I'll get you my pretties ;)
