4 outta 5 STARS for The Viking Princess on The Romance Reviews

Right now over at The Romance Reviews you can read Delta's review of The Viking Princess. She gave it four out of five stars and here's a little blurb of what she said:

"This story was mystical and magical and super erotic yet with a storyline that stayed true to the basic facts I knew about these Arthurian events. ***The story kept me intrigued and waiting for the shoe to drop on either Morgaine or Holger or both, given the odds that were stacked against them. And the end?

Bottom Line: Pick this one up and allow yourself to be transported to another time and place for a while. "

Or, you can read this review on Amazon and while you're there think about sizzling summer romances and pick up a beach read.

Here's the Amazon link where you can pick up a copy of The Viking Princess.
This story was mystical and magical and super erotic yet with a storyline that stayed true to the basic facts I knew about these Arthurian events. I even suspended my longtime distaste of men with long hair just so I could mentally run my fingers through Holger's luscious blonde mane, which sounds like it could be used in a Pantene commercial. The story kept me intrigued and waiting for the shoe to drop on either Morgaine or Holger or both, given the odds that were stacked against them. And the end? Yes, I know it's labeled a "tragic" tale for a reason, but I still shed a tear!

Many tales have been told of Britain's King Arthur, France's King Charlemagne and Danish Prince Holger Danske. This is the tragic love story of Prince Holger and King Arthur's half-sister, the powerful sorceress Morgaine Le Fay.

Morgaine is willingly captured by Holger as his Vikings battle King Arthur's army, happy to be whisked off by the brutally beautiful Norse god when he appears to her as if by magic. A spell is woven between the two of them, and they quickly determine that they never want to be apart, traveling back and forth between his lands, Camelot and Avalon, where he receives the match to Excalibur, the sword Cortana. After much fighting and cajoling and pleading, King Arthur gives his blessing and announces an alliance with his former enemy. But there are people who vehemently oppose the union, not to mention a war against the Saxon's to win.

THE VIKING PRINCESS is the first book in the Viking Series by Kim Kasch. Even though this type of book is not usually not my cuppa, I found myself nonetheless enchanted by the story's integration of myth and history and legend to make an utterly new folklore. The overall story is an ancient one featuring the magic of King Arthur and Camelot, Merlin and Excalibur. I'd heard the name Morgaine Le Fay but never Holger Danske, so this was all very fun and exciting for me, especially after a brief online search had so little information on any relationship between the two of them.
