THOUGHT FOR THURSDAY

QUESTION: Do you know where palm reading originated? And, if you do, in what year?

I have no idea! But I do remember having my palm read once and the woman said I would have 3 children 2 girls and 1 boy. Well I have 3 children alright, but no boys. So she got it partly right I guess. But I notice I have no health line. Uh oh.

Interesting. I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm looking very closely at my palm now.

It was WAY before television was invented and everyone got tired of sitting around staring at one another or going to jousts or whatever. So, they stared at their hands. Then someone thought...hey - I bet we can make some money with this!

(obviously I have no clue...again) :) :)

I have no clue, and have never had my palm read, but always wanted to...

No, I have no idea. Let me venture a guess. India?

Ello: I hope they aren't always right 'cause a girlfriend from Malaysia read my palm once. She looked at it and said, "Never mind. I'm not good enough at this, yet."

I bugged until she told me my lifeline was extremely short. But hey, I'm already an old lady - so I've outlived my lifeline :)

Yeah, Meredith - good guess.

Cindy: Would love to hear more - maybe you should go have yours read.
