I love decorating at the holidays. How about you?
I traced these little mice out on thin foam sheets and then cut them out. Then I glued little wiggly eyes on and used poster gum to put them up all around the house.
I even put them out on the stairs and porch outside. Last year I cut them out of black construction paper but the rain ruined them. The foam will work well in Portland, Oregon's wet weather-I hope. There was only one problem with my plan, Sasha (my puppy) went around the house eating the little rodents. She didn't understand that they weren't real. Oh well, at least I'll never have to worry about being over-run by rodents - not with Sasha on guard.

Nice, Kim! From a distance, those mice DO look real. I'm not surprised Sasha thought so, too. :)
Eeeek. Christmas mice!
Cute idea. There's only one problem. I abhor mice! I couldn't stand to look at them even though they are fake. good for Sasha!
great idea! I'm afraid those shadows would scare me in the middle of the night when I got up and turned on the light, though. I'd probably have a hole in my wall from trying to rid myself of the mice infestation! :)
hugs,
Donna
I did similar mice and bats out of black paper for B's birthday party--but foam. You are so smart.
That's adorable. I'd love to decorate more for the HOlidays, but it seems that these days I don't quite have the energy, w/ the exception of Christmas. I do have out some pumpkins and mums. The bare mimi-mum. ;0)
These are so cute. What a great idea! They look especially real around your front door.
Eek!! (They are cute)
Your house is very cute! And original. Excellent...
I have really aged the last few years. I do not enjoy holiday decorating anymore. I enjoy looking at others decorations, but I do not wanna partake. I do it mainly for my teenage boys. It will stop when they move out. We will go somewhere fabulous for the holidays instead of cooking and decorating.
I overdo it sometimes - but since I just started a new job I'm not up to speed around the house. You would not believe how over the top I can be with decorating.
Maybe next year.
Stephanie: Christmas mice?...
Susan: Mice are nice :)
GG: B's a lucky boy!
WW: I know what you mean - I jump at 'em sometimes.
CR: I love the mini..mum ;)
Hit 40: Wait until you hit 50 - I'm almost there.
Those are really cute! Can Dilly come over to your house and play? He'll give the dog a pickle!
