Boxing is an art...or maybe I should say making boxes is an art.
See, I love books and boxes....decorative boxes. And anyone who knows me, knows I love to craft. So this book of decorative boxes was the perfect gift from my friend Caren.
It comes with the pretty punch-out papers and instructions on how to make the boxes.
What could be easier?
It's kind of like
origami for beginners. I love it.
Plus, I feel like I'm giving two gifts in one when I wrap a present in my homemade box.
How 'bout you? Do you make things to give your gifts in?

That's a really neat book, Kim. And what a pretty box!
A part of me wishes we still lived in that age when people made their own gifts (and boxes to put them in). But then a part of me realizes that I'm useless at crafts, and that my loved ones would never get anything from me if we lived back in those times.
So, nope -- it's the mall or Amazon.com for me! :)
that's gorgeous! Before I had kids I used to make little baskets with an old shoe box and weaved raffia paper around it. Then I'd glue in a piece of fabric for the lining. It made a great basket for baby showers. I'd fill the inside with random baby gifts. I know several people who ended up using the basket in the baby room as a decoration too. Bonus!
I miss making things like I used to, but having kids took away alot of that extra time I used to have.
Oh! Pretty! I could totally get into boxing!
Amazon is great David and I love the basket idea C.R. but I also love to make things with my hands - even if a lot of times it doesn't turn out ;)
GG: And boxing. . . maybe not as rewarding as karate :)
