Inspiration for my latest manuscript

I've been working on my manuscript and these photos of my friend's son gave me a lot of inspiration.

Where do you other writers out there get your inspiration...?

As for myself, it's the usual response: I get inspiration from all over the place. Lately a lot from video games, especially those which I played growing up in the 80s and early 90s. The novel I'm working on now is inspired by a game, in fact:
