Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss! Ahead of his time, he lead the pack. My favorite book has always been The Cat in the Hat, with Horton Hears a Who running a close second.
In a LOT of his books he does! My kids like the one about the king who asks for something besides snow, rain and sun from the sky. Last night B brought home a Seuss book I'd never even heard of and the ending was a riot--it was about a moose.

I like the Lorax too. So many years before the term "going green" was coined. Smart man!

Everyone at my house loves Dr. Seuss! My favorite books have always been in this order:
1. Are You My Mother?
2. Scrambled Eggs Super
3. Cat in the Hat Dictionary
4. Horton Hears A Who
5. I Wish That I Had Duck Feet
Not sure why I was so fascinated by the dictionary one when I was little, but it was a big favorite.
