I've always wanted a greenhouse.
And not just for growing flowers in. A Greenhouse, today, is a home that uses sustainable building materials and energy efficient design. Read more about it here.
And, here are a few tips for those other greenhouses and your garden, from my friend, Master-Gardener, Diane Cooper:
President's Day is traditionally the day to prune your tea roses, and
to plant new roses.
Get ready to spray lime sulphur on your fruit trees as they begin to
leaf out. You will spray two more times this spring.
Plant onions as soon as the soil dries.
Prune clematis and other flowering vines.
You can fertilize your lawn this month. However, if you have not
applied lime in a few years, do that three weeks before applying
fertilizer. Your fertilizer will work much better.

Good gardening advice! I love that kind that makes sense, like planting onions when the ground has dried--I have never attempted onions but would like to this year. I have been busy digging compost and manure into my garden getting it ready to be planted. Hard work!
I hope this means spring will be here soon!
We can't even see the ground yet here! Still have too much snow. I like that greenhouse though. A lady down the road from us have a similar one.
Oh my goodness. A couple of years ago we applied lime and my husband has never mowed so much in his life! lol
That stuff really works.
Now i have an idea of where to begin in my winter struck garden!
I have wanted a greenhouse for a couple years now but Hubs doesn't think we need one that big (and costly) and I can't find any smaller ones that I like...
I'm always impressed with people who have greenhouses. How do you do it? I think I'd kill everything.
