Dang, you making knitting look so easy! One thing I've always wanted to learn was how to knit. My mom used to knit all the time. One of these days I'll try to learn it. Guess how I knit now? C'mon, take a guess! Awhile back I bought an old Mattel Knit Magic Machine from eBay, just like I had in the 70s. So now I knit long skinny scarves. Yep, that's my extent of knitting! I'm so pathetic.
BTW -- I loved this video. It was so cool to see you, hear your voice and all that. I also loved the sweaters your MIL made for your kids. Awesome! And I think we have the same couch -- LOL!
Okay Kim...have you been talking to my MIL...she has been wanting to teach me to knit for years...I did knit a pot holder, but I kept dropping a stitch or something...so it looked more like a funnel when I was done...grin...
My sis learned how to knit and crochet in like 10 minutes...I'm an old south-paw (lefty), so I just can't seem to figure out the stitches...it alls seems backwards to me...
Love the sweaters and the video! I would love to be able to do that...maybe one day...sigh...
Love the video, Kim! My mother in law just knitted a sweater poncho for my six year old daughter, she loves it! Knitting looks so relaxing (when you get the hang of it, my mil tried to show me once, it didn't take!). Good luck with your scarf, you may need it soon!
Thanks guys. It is fun and EZ - once you have someone show you how to do it. I can't read patterns - I am such a visual person - that's why I thought a vlog (video-log) would be the best way to show it.
Brenda: I had a friend show me some felting this weekend. You knit the piece with wool and then shrink it in the wash. She says it hides so many mistakes. I'm going to post the purses she made - felting. And I'm going to try that. I love the idea of hiding mistakes. :)

Knitting is fun--how clever are you to both knit, videotape it AND post the video???
