TUESDAY TUMMY TEMPTATIONS

We've been eating a lot of sweets lately so when my hubby's uncle's 88th birthday rolled around I thought, why not fix something healthy...?

This is what I did.

I used my cookie cutters to cut out shapes in fruit: honeydew, cantaloupe, and pineapple. Then I stabbed shish kabob skewers through the fruit and decorated them with maraschino cherries for an extra pop of color.

I put them in a vase to finish off my fruity "flower" arrangement.

WAH-LAH!!! Happy Healthy Bday!

What's with the spam comment above? I don't care for people who leave these kinds of fake comments in order to promote themselves.

Wankers.

Meanwhile, I love what you made your husband's uncle. Good stuff.

Wonderful! They'd be great for a summer picnic.

This reminds me of those nifty, tasty fruit bouquets you get through Edible Arrangements.com. They do something very similar, although for a whole lot more dough. I like your method better, Kim! :)

And now I'm hungry for some fresh fruit. Be right back . . .

That is fabulous!!! It looks amazing!
My mother in law sends us Edible Arrangements and they are incredible too. Now I know I can make them (because I think those arrangements can get pricey!).

Thanks guys. I wanted the birthday boy to know we were thinking of him but he didn't need another nick knack to clutter up his house.

I agree with you about the nick knacks.
