A dress made from an old sheet

I found this dress over the weekend at Camp Hollyhock and had to buy it. The wonderful women at Camp Hollyhock repurpose old clothes and fabric into new creative clothes.

I love how they turn old clothing into lacy, feminine pieces.

If you get a chance to stop by Sellwood to do some shopping, you have to stop by Camp Hollyhock.

Hollyhock - and not the flowers

I found the cutest little shop over in Sellwood ...and I'm not a big shopper but when I find a store that uses (or maybe I should say REuses) fabrics from another era (vintage material) then I tend to pay attention.

And these clothes are sooooo cute I can't resist posting them.

These pieces are so pretty and I'm no photographer but I have to share a few snapshots I took when I was looking around.

These little tutus were two cute ;D

And there are a lot of floral designs - so Hollyhock seems fitting.

So whether you're a baby or a grownup, Camp Hollyhock has something for every lady in the house. Sorry men, I didn't see anything there for you.

A dress made from an old man's shirt

Okay, I'm not a model and I don't do this dress justice but it is so cool to wear something that was destined for the landfills. At Camp Hollyhock they repurpose old clothing and make it "seam" like new again ;D

All it takes is a little embellishing and some tea...or so I'm told. Anyway, if you are in Portland, you have to check out this shop over in Sellwood. It is so "green" and if you want a way to celebrate St. Paddy's day - this is definitely the way to do it by buying green and getting some great clothing at the same time.

I love these clothes so much that I've blogged about Camp Hollyhock before but I just might do it again.

And, okay, maybe I should have belted the dress - but this is it without any help from me.

But it is "sew" comfortable and I love the idea of wearing repurposed clothing.

How 'bout you?

Braclets made from old belts

Camp Hollyhock makes old belts into wonderful jewelry. Look at these beautiful cuffs made from old belts.

I love how this shop uses old things and makes them into new wonderful pieces to wear and enjoy for many more years.
