Do you love cake...or is your fav dessert pie...?
My hubby loves pie, while I'm a cake lady and my favorite part of pie is the crust, while my husband would rather simply eat the filling. So, it seems that we are always on opposite sides of the . . . platter.
But, if I had to choose a piece...of pie, mine would be lemon or banana cream or maybe chocolate cream of coconut cream so still not one of those berry things.
While my husband loves pumpkin (and I can't even stomach that stuff) or apple (another NOT for me).
And, when it comes to cake...I love all sorts of them, from carrot to chocolate and beyond. I can't think of a cake I don't like. And it's even better if its ala mode.
Now, why did I think about cake tonight...? It was a blog post I saw on a friend's blog. If you want to read more about cake, you can check out this blog here.

Given the option, I'd pick pie. I'm a sucker for pie.
Thanks for the shout out. Much appreciated. I tell ya, before I started learning how to make cake, I was all the way pie. And a big part of me, still is. But boy oh boy, is it fun learning cakes.
I'm more of a cake person. I love all cakes, really, but my favorite is simple yellow cake. With either chocolate or vanilla buttercream frosting. Which is probably why I love birthday cake best of all! :)
As for pie: like you, the crust is my favorite part. I would probably gag if all I could have to eat was the filling alone. My favorite pie is blueberry. Next favorite is pecan. Actually, sometimes it's hard for me to decided between the two. I guess I'd give the edge to blueberry, but then there are days ...
GG: You'd be in line behind my hubby.
THW: You just need to have cake ala mode ;D
David: You and me . . . two peas in a pod :D
As soon as I learn how to make my own ice cream, I will. I'd like to make a killer ice cream cake.
YUM!
I very much enjoy both, but I would usually pick cake over pie.
My fave pies are blueberry and cherry pie. But warm apple pie sometimes is just so yummy. (Not a fan of pumpkin either)
