Beginning Blog - or - Getting a Life

In the beginning, when I was a kid, I started writing for pleasure. When my kids started heading off to college, my oldest son told me to, “Get a Life.”

I thought how hard can it be? Well, after devoting 23 years to raising kids, it’s not so easy. It’s difficult to change focus and break habits but I’m trying - by writing.

Good job, Kim. And great that you were motivated by your son to expand your writing-our children are our best teachers. Patricia

Hi, fellow new blogger! Since you recently got an agent, I'd say that's starting your new life off with a bang. I hope it's marvelous.

hi kim! congrats on setting up your own blog!! i actually began writing a novel to try and have something "of my own" while i stayed home with the bubs.

if it weren't for them, i'd have kept working full time and probably never tried to write a novel.

congrats to you on writing AND getting an agent!! good luck on submissions!!

Hi Kim, welcome to the world of blogging. I'm fairly new to it myself and blog infrequently. But it's lots of fun. Good luck with it.
