But for the most part, I enjoyed it.Rena Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02328844122193024220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1704325586983583256.post-21577645703583998242011-05-31T08:37:01.095-07:002011-05-31T08:37:01.095-07:00This movie is on my kids' summer bucket list--...This movie is on my kids' summer bucket list--and KUNG FU 2!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1704325586983583256.post-70203751027472132142011-05-31T08:19:56.867-07:002011-05-31T08:19:56.867-07:00My husband asked me "was there enough action?...My husband asked me "was there enough action?" There was for me. I'm not a big action film fan.

Plus, I went in to it not expecting to like it at all so I did. I think expectations play a big part in movies.

My daughter saw Bridesmaids - said that was funny - so that's next on my TBS (to be seen) listKimbra Kaschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16955657301998255029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1704325586983583256.post-15675451315374023982011-05-31T06:34:25.969-07:002011-05-31T06:34:25.969-07:00I saw it this weekend -- and it bored me to tears....I saw it this weekend -- and it bored me to tears. Sorry to have to say it, but it did. Actually, it bored me to sleep, which is just as bad.

I don't know, it was just too "blah" for me. Not enough of all the cool elements that made the first movie work so well. Blackbeard should have been more fierce and ruthless, and he wasn't. Penelope Cruz was wasted. And Johnny Depp pretty much just phoned in his performance for the paycheck.

So, no, it wasn't enjoyable at all for me. Although, you are right -- the mermaids were very nicely done! That was the only saving grace of the film.David Batistahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16447011239238933425noreply@blogger.com
